Delivery armature by project “Reconstruction arterial plumbing DN 1200”
In December 2003, under the ISPA Program in Bulgaria, an Integrated Water Project is launched, on which a large part of the water and sewerage companies in Bulgaria are applying. After consulting European Commission (EC) consultants and preparing and submitting pre-feasibility studies and Application Forms in November 2005, The EC approved the Integrated Water Project for Improvement of the Water Cycle of the City of Ruse and on January 11, 2006, Financing Memorandum 2005 / BG / 16 / P / PE / 004 was signed. The total project cost is 46.8m. euro. Of these, 35.1 million. Euro (EUR 75 million) is a grant from the EC, EUR 8.6 million (17%) is a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and co-financing from the state budget – 3.1% (8%).
The main objectives of the project “Integrated water project for improvement of the water cycle of Rousse” are:
- Ecological – Achieving European quality standards for wastewater removal and treatment. Improving the quality of Danube waters. Effective use of resources – water and energy (reduction of emissions into the air)
- Social – Acceptable increase in the cost of the service. Involvement of local companies – designers, builders and supervisors – in the implementation of the project. Improving the efficiency of the services offered – drinking water, removing rainwater and wastewater treatment, providing water for fire-fighting purposes.
- Economic and social tolerance of the cost of the WSS service. Improving the Quality of Service Cost Ratio.
The project is structured in four main sections – Construction of Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant (UWWTP), Replacement of Slivo Pole-Rousse Water Supply, Pipeline Section and Sewerage Section.
On June 5, 2008 Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Dimcho Mihalevski made the first sod of the construction works under the contract for “Replacement of water main DN200, Slivo pole-Rousse”, with a total length of 21 km. The ceremony, which took place in the area of the pump station, was the second upsurge in the city of Rousse and was attended by members of the ProStream Group Management, Martin Mikovich, Regional Manager of the VAG Group, as well as representatives of the European Commission – DG Regional Policy, EBRD, representatives of the Rousse region, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the final beneficiaries – the local water and sewerage company and Rousse, as well as other water supply and sewerage companies. ProStream Group delivers its proven quality pipe fittings made of ductile cast iron, VAG Armaturen GmbH and in particular:
